Apache Junction

Apache Junction is the eastern gateway into the Phoenix metroplex with 15+ eastern Arizona towns making US-60 their primary route into the Valley. Apache Junction also serves as the western gateway to the majority of Tonto National Forest’s aquatic recreation venues. Apache Junction is ideal for advanced manufacturing, distribution, mining support (within 45 minutes of major mining operations in Miami/Globe, Kearny and Superior) and business service operations. Major area employers include Western Industrial Resources Corporation, Banner Goldfield, and Mountain Health and Wellness. We see our proximity to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (of which we are a member of the Airport Authority Board) as key as we can easily accommodate supply chain services and manufacturing at lower land acquisition and operating costs for those providers who don’t actually require being at the airpark itself. The city offers several sites with a global reach made possible by its proximity to nearby airports and railroads including:

  1. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (30 miles)
  2. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (11 miles)
  3. Rail Access (15-30 miles).

Employers located in Apache Junction have access to three major universities (ASU, Grand Canyon and AT Still), and a local community college (CAC). We have tremendous growth potential with over 11,000 acres of developable land within existing city limits, which is adjacent to a 275-square-mile swath of land between the East Valley and Florence. The State Land Department is eager to get the land to auction and our municipality eager to find a quality development partner.

Apache Junction’s cost of living is 13% below the national average. Average household income is about $40,000 and the median home price is about $170,000. Apache Junction is also known for its nearby recreational attractions. It is estimated that Apache Junction sees over 600,000 travelers annually. These include individuals from across the United States and the globe. Major recreational draws include the Lost Dutchman Marathon, Renaissance Festival, local and state parks, and a chain of lakes extending up to Roosevelt Dam.
