A new report finds that Phoenix has benefited greatly from disgruntled businesses departing the Golden State in recent years.
In a story earlier today, we learned that Phoenix ranked No. 3 on the list of markets benefiting from California disinvestment. We’ve crunched the numbers and here’s how that all breaks down: The value of the 67 projects gained in Phoenix totals $2.8 billion and more than 9,000 jobs.
When you add in the rest of Arizona, the total tops 83 companies, $3.3 billion in capital and more than 12,000 jobs.
“This has been my busiest year ever in companies looking to expand,” said Joseph Vranich, president of Irvine, California-based site selection consultancy Spectrum Location Solutions. “Every company that calls talks about possibilities in Phoenix, Austin, Dallas or Las Vegas.”
