Chandler Airpark Development Update

The Airpark Area is a 9-square-mile employment corridor around Chandler Municipal Airport that has become one of the most active development areas in Metro Phoenix. An explosion of commercial construction is taking place with about 2 million square feet of space either under construction or planned.

Four projects are poised to deliver more than 580,000 square feet of new space within the next month.

  • Ascend at Chandler Airport Center, with an 81,000 square foot, Class “A” office building under construction at the northwest corner of Cooper and Germann roads. Three additional buildings are planned. When fully built out, this project will feature nearly 400,000 square feet of office and light industrial space.
  • Mach One, a two-building development, will bring 210,000 square feet of Class “A” office space at the southeast corner of the Loop 202 SanTan Freeway and Cooper Road.
  • Metro Chandler Airport Center, with two light industrial buildings totaling 211,000 square feet under construction at the southwest corner of Cooper and Germann roads. Another building up to 48,000 square feet is planned.
  • Tiburon at Chandler Airport, a three-building development will bring more than 81,000 square feet of office/light industrial/flex space at the southeast corner of Cooper and Germann roads.

Mach One has already received a Certificate of Completion for each of the shell buildings while Ascend, Metro and Tiburon are anticipated to receive theirs before the end of March. This investment further supports other recently opened projects in the Airpark including Crown Castle’s 70,000 square foot office building and FedEx’s 302,000 square foot distribution center.
