Business Partners Bring Dream of Speakeasy Bar to Gilbert

A new speakeasy bar set to open in Gilbert this fall is the dream of two longtime business partners.

Nick Medina and Corey Potts have worked together for the past 16 years. They met in Seattle, and in the early 2000s they brought their business, the M2 Group, to the Valley. The M2 Group does marketing and outsourced sales for telecom and tech companies. They also run a real estate business together.

During their partnership and friendship, they have gone to a lot of bars together and have said, like many friends, “We should open our own bar.”

It’s something different than what is in Gilbert now and will focus on classic, handcrafted cocktails and include servers who bring a drink cart to each table and mixes the drinks in front of customers, Potts said.

Potts said he imagines the White Rabbit will be a place for people to get a drink before or after dinner at a downtown Gilbert restaurant. He also said there will be a variety of wines and craft beers.
